Job Announcement

The Aga Khan Education Service (AKES), Pakistan, an institution of the Aga Khan Development Network, provides education to 57,000+ students with more than 150 schools, and 6 hostels.

AKES, Pakistan - Education Office, Gilgit, invites applications from eligible and interested candidates to fill the following positions:

1. Teacher Educators - Pre-Primary ECD, RSDUs Gupts & RSDUs Yasin, Gilgit-Baltistan
Location: Gilgit-Baltistan
Responsibilities:

The Teacher Educators will provide academic, supervisory, and professional support to pre-primary teachers. Responsibilities include mentoring, conducting training sessions, workshops, and professional development programmes.

Requirements:
  • Minimum 16 years of education, preferably in Education; B.Ed is desirable
  • Six month diploma in ECD/ECE/Montessori from a recognized institution preferred
  • At least 3 years of teaching experience in pre-primary classes
  • Strong communication, classroom management, interpersonal, and leadership skills
  • Proficiency in MS Word, Excel, and ICT integration in teaching is desirable
2. Student Counselor - RSDUs Gupts-Yasin, Gilgit-Baltistan
Location: Gilgit-Baltistan
Responsibilities:

The Student Counselor will provide career and life guidance to students, parents, teachers, and school leaders. The role includes addressing bullying, disabilities, academic challenges, and social issues while promoting mental health awareness in line with organisational policy. Responsibilities also involve conducting assessments and advising on academic and career planning. Field travel is required.

Requirements:
  • Master's or BS degree (16 years of education) in Psychology
  • Certification in Child Psychology is desirable
  • Relevant experience preferred
3. Junior Finance Officer - Regional Education Office, Gilgit-Baltistan
Location: Gilgit-Baltistan
Key Responsibilities:
  • Record payments from remote schools via RSDUs and REO
  • Assist with bank reconciliations and supplier statements
  • Ensure adherence to internal financial policies and regulations
  • Respond to financial queries from schools, suppliers, and departments
  • Manage advances, TA/DA, reimbursements, and other staff payments
  • Maintain organised financial records (both digital and physical)
Requirements:
  • Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration, or relevant field, or professional certification (e.g., ACCA, CPA)
  • 0-1 year of experience; preference for candidates familiar with MS Dynamics 365 (F&O)
  • Strong communication skills, MS Office proficiency, and ability to work under pressure
