Hajj 2025: Pilgrims Gather for Waqoof-e-Arafa at Maidan-e-Arafat

Makkah: Millions of devoted pilgrims have assembled at the sacred plains of Maidan-e-Arafat today, marking the most spiritually significant ritual of Hajj — Waqoof-e-Arafa.

The pilgrims will listen to the historic Hajj sermon, translated into over 35 languages including Urdu, to reach the hearts of Muslims worldwide. As per tradition, they will offer Zohr and Asr prayers together, and spend the day immersed in Dua, Wazaif, and Talbiyah.

Impressive Arrangements for Hajj 2025

Saudi Arabia’s Minister of Hajj and Umrah, Dr. Tawfiq Al-Rabiah, alongside Minister of Health Fahad AlJalajel, visited Arafat to oversee the elaborate arrangements and ensure a seamless spiritual experience for the pilgrims.

The field inspection covered pilgrims' camps, healthcare units, accommodations, and security facilities. Special attention was given to the comfort, safety, and hydration of pilgrims during the hot weather.

Shading & Cooling Project in Arafat

A notable initiative includes the cooling project around Namirah Mosque, covering 85,000 square meters with 320 canopies, 350 misting fans, and over 2,000 trees planted to enhance greenery and comfort.

These efforts reflect the Kingdom’s dedication to enhancing the spiritual environment and logistical support for Hajj, aiming for a smooth and serene performance of rituals.
